Beacon Reservation Time

To ensure that this activation can be experienced by the most number of people, participation is scheduled in one hour increments. A limited number of beacons can be reserved ahead of time. If you would like to reserve a beacon, please indicate the time. Please ensure that you arrive 5 minutes before the booking begins, as we cannot guarantee participation for late arrivals. Reservations will be accepted until 5 pm, October 16, 2021.

I hereby give my permission to be photographed and/or video recorded. I am aware the images may be used by Melany Nugent-Noble and their community partners such as Evelevel Gallery and Nocturne Festival on their website, in brochures and other publications, to promote the project ‘Invisible Threads are the Strongest Ties', and awareness of arts, culture and heritage in Halifax. *

I acknowledge that participation in this project will include community engagement, both direct and indirect, and that engagement taking place within the context of this project will be done in the spirit of goodwill, cooperation and respect, both towards the beacons that will be given to your care and towards those who you engage with within the community-at-large. This includes ensuring the beacons are maintained properly and returned on time at the end of the activation period. *

I acknowledge that the data retrieved from the beacon (gps and timestamp data) is being collected by the artist for artistic purposes. No personal data will be maintained or used. *

I the above-named participant am at least 19 years old, or the parent or legal guardian of participants. I understand and acknowledge that participation in this project, I'Invisible Threads are the Strongest Ties’ is voluntary and bears certain anticipated and unanticipated risks. I indemnify and hold harmless the artist Melany Nugent-Noble, Eyelevel Gallery and Nocturne Festival and its personnel from all actions, proceedings, losses, expenses, and costs arising out of, or in any way connected with participation in this project. *
