Edmonton Strathcona was my grandfather, Terry Nugent’s riding when he was a Member of Parliament for the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada from 1958-68. This work examines how party positions and rhetoric has changed, and is centred on making an excerpt from a speech that my grandfather gave regarding the Cuban Missile Crisis during the 25th Parliament, in 1962. The posters also directed people to the website www.ILikeTerry.com for more information, and were displayed on four different bus and advertising shelters and on buses travelling throughout the riding.
